What is WooCommerce?
WooCommerce is an extension for WordPress that turns a website into a webshop. You use it to manage products, stock, orders, shipping costs and payment methods. The system itself is free and open source. You only pay for hosting, maintenance and any extra features.
How long does it take to build a webshop?
That mainly depends on the number of products and how quickly copy and photos are ready. A small webshop with a limited product range goes live sooner than a webshop with hundreds of products and integrations. After the intro call, you get a schedule with an expected handover date.
Can I add products and change prices myself?
Yes. You log in to your own dashboard and add products, photos, prices and stock there. At handover, you get a walkthrough so you know how it works. If you get stuck later, just contact your dedicated contact person.
Which payment methods can you connect?
We connect your webshop to a payment provider like Mollie. This lets you offer iDEAL, credit card, Bancontact and PayPal, among others. You choose which methods to turn on. The payment provider charges a small fee per transaction; those costs are separate from our prices.
Can I have my existing webshop moved to WooCommerce?
In most cases, yes. We first look at your current webshop: which products, customers and orders need to move over, and which features do you use now? Then you’ll hear whether moving it is feasible and what it costs. We can also take over an existing WooCommerce webshop from another developer.
Is WooCommerce better than Shopify?
That depends on what matters to you. With WooCommerce, the webshop is yours, you pay no license fees and you can customize almost everything. Shopify handles the technical side for you, but you pay a fixed monthly fee and you’re tied to that platform. We build in WooCommerce and take care of the maintenance.
Can I start with a website and add a webshop later?
